Jon Sonnen, CPA/PFS

Jon SonneJon Sonnen, Vice-President of Lauterbach Financial Advisorsn has been the Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of Lauterbach Financial Advisors since its founding in 1999.

He joined the Lauterbach Financial Group in 1977 and served as a General Services Partner of Lauterbach, Borschow & Co., Certified Public Accountants until the founding of LFA in 1999. During his tenure, he worked primarily with closely-held businesses and has experience in auditing, tax and business consulting in a variety of industries and not-for-profit entities. Jon graduated with a BA degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a BBA degree from UT Pan American.

Jon is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Texas and is credentialed as a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. The PFS designation is granted to CPAs who specialize in financial planning, complete a required number of education and business experience hours, and pass a rigorous exam. He is active in numerous civic, social and religious organizations in El Paso.
